ADULT CLASS Teacher Workshop: Introduction to Visual Thinking Strategies Wednesday, June 1910:30 a.m. – Noon Friends Community Room Register now to gain first-hand experience with Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS), a learner-centered approach to discussing art. VTS strengthens student language and listening skills, develops habits of critical thinking, and promotes personal connections to art. The workshop includes a classroom component and experience using the technique in the galleries.

ADULT CLASS Teacher Workshop: Día de Los Muertos/Day of the Dead Wednesday, August 1510:30 a.m. – Noon Friends Community Room Join a community of teachers to learn how to create a unit around the annual Mexican day of remembrance. This workshop will walk you through the steps of guiding students to select a subject to honor in an ofrenda (altar or shrine), conduct research, produce a video blog to share their experience with others, and create an ofrenda.
