Create a metallic masterpiece in a metal tooling studio. Be dazzled by harp performances, and delight in stellar silver- and gold-inspired stories. Discover the delicate art of silver leaf in a gilding demonstration, or go mining for gold in the MIA's galleries.

Tours offered by docents dressed in period finery. Saturdays hourly from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Sundays hourly from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. $5; $4 for students; free for MIA members and children under 12. Shuttle service available. Forty-five minute tours led by costumed docents will emphasize the gifts, toys, food and social traditions of the period that the Purcells might have enjoyed.
