SPECIAL EVENT Saturday, June 9 through Sunday, June 10, 20128:30 p.m. – Midnight Museum-wide Northern Spark is a summertime "nuit blanche" series of community-linked art projects open from 8:30 p.m. on June 9 through 6 a.m. on June 10. In its second year of participating, the MIA presents artists in residence Patty Mitchell, Robert Lockheed, and HOTTEA (Eric Rieger). They have been working with arts community leaders, art centers, and teen artists on a collaborative Northern Spark event. Their creative environments and installations comprise recycled and donated materials. Think balloons, quilts, painted fabrics, sewing stations, and giant artworks. It's free; come join us!
