Michael Mazur: A Print Retrospective

Saturday, March 17, 2001—Sunday, June 3, 2001
U.S. Bank Gallery
Free Exhibition

New England painter Michael Mazur is nationally recognized as a master of contemporary printmaking. This retrospective exhibition spans forty years of activity (1958–98) in which the artist has worked in a rich spectrum of styles. About one hundred woodcuts, etchings, power-tool engravings, monotypes on paper and silk, and illustrated books in both black-and-white and color portray outer and inner worlds that range from the enchanting to the troubling, from serene landscapes to the hell of Dante's Inferno.
This exhibition was organized by the Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
Haworth Marketing & Media is proud to sponsor this exhibition.
