Portrait: 3 Meters per SecondFriday, August 2, 2002Sunday, September 22, 2002 A new exhibition by sculptor and installation artist Welles Emerson, "Portrait: 3 Meters Per Second," explores questions about natural phenomena such as wind, waves, and pattern. A portrait of water at a specific moment in time is executed in transulcent rods; two running fences are made of glass tubes, and a sculpture called Skin uses iridescent feathers. |
