ROBERT RAUSCHENBERG’S recent death at age eighty-two ended the long and vibrant career of one of America’s pre-eminent contemporary artists.
This exhibition examines the artist’s early activities producing original prints, multiples, and artist’s books in collaboration with many of America’s leading print workshops. Selected from the MIA’s extensive collection of twentieth-century graphic art, the exhibition features more than thirty examples of Rauschenberg’s editioned work from this key period.
