This exhibition is a selection of approximately eighty prints of varying sizes, monochromatic as well as color, by photographers both well-known and those lesser known.

The Minneapolis Institute of Arts maintains one of the oldest and most respected collections of photographs in the country. With more than nine thousand prints, the Institute's holdings encompass the history of photography from the late nineteenth century to the present.

An interactive media station in the gallery shows the museum-produced program, "Photography: From Silver to Silica" during the exhibition. To see images from the Institute's collection online, click on "collections," or go to www.artsconnected.org.
