Stefano Della Bella was a highly prolific printmaker whose oeuvre numbers over a thousand etchings. He was employed extensively by the Medici Family both at Florence and Rome. He is best known for his depictions of court festivals, funeral ceremonies, theatrical productions, hunting scenes and military themes. The present installation includes 50 etchings by Della Bella.

Giovanni Benedetto Castiglione, a native of Genoa, was primarily a painter of religious, historical and mythological themes. During the late 1640s, Castiglione executed about 114 etchings; he also experimented with the medium of monotype. Ten etchings are on display in this exhibition.
