The artist?s work is made from economical materials such as insulation foam and chipboard, and he works quickly. By doing so, he intends to reveal his decision-making process as a counterpoint to the legacy left by modern painters and sculptors. This leaves his work wide open for questions about the sacred value given to art, the environmental concerns of art-making, and the emphasis placed on craft and presentation. The Minnesota Artists Exhibition Program (MAEP) is a curatorial department of the Minneapolis Institute of Arts (MIA) dedicated to exhibiting and supporting artists living and working in the state of Minnesota. Begun in 1975 as a creative partnership with the MIA, the MAEP was founded by a group of regional artists interested in creating an innovative exhibition and programming space. What began as a year-long agreement has been extended into an ongoing relationship between the Minnesota artist community and the MIA. Generous support for MAEP is provided by The McKnight Foundation and Jerome Foundation. Submit a Proposal
