This traveling multi-media exhibition presents one of the 25 remaining original copies (the Dunlap broadsides) of the Declaration of Independence, printed on July 4, 1776. Using historical and contemporary photographs, video, and music, the exhibition illustrates the values and ideals embodied in the Declaration of Independence. The installation also highlights the social and political movements that helped shape the United States. In addition to the document itself, the installation features a 14-minute film of a reading of the Declaration of Independence at Independence Hall in Philadelphia.
