Teen Studio: Truthiness or Falsiness: Spr10 (ages 13-17)
Thursday, April 11, 2013
Pablo Picasso declared, "Art is a lie that tells the truth." Satire also gains much of its power--both to make us laugh and to make us think--from its ability to blur the line between what's true and what's not. Working with writer Christopher Bahn (The Onion A.V. Club), explore connections between satire and visual art. A visit to the special exhibition "More Real? Art in the Age of Truthiness" is included.
