Physical Description:

Horse with long mane and clipped tail. ca 725 A.D. Glazed pottery tomb figure, one of a pair, on a flat base. The decoration of the trappings is in the Sassanian style. Glaze predominantly a fine cobalt blue which has oxidized on the hind legs to an irridescent silvery-blue. Saddle and top saddle pad unglazed.
